Introduction…

Greetings patients!  I look forward to meeting you, and I’m writing this letter to introduce myself.  I am Dr. Brent Linse (pronounced “Linzee”).  I am very honored to be taking the reins of Dr. Terry Richardson’s practice!  I know I have very big shoes to fill, and that he will be missed dearly!  I plan to continue with the same level of personalized and professional patient care that you are accustomed to.  In fact, this heart-felt compassion that Dr. Richardson has, and the way he has focused all his energy on welcoming and caring for his patients, is one of the primary reasons I was drawn toward Canyon Chiropractic! I promise to carry on the legacy of family-oriented care!  I have had the privilege of getting to know the whole crew over the past year, and I am delighted they will all be continuing on with me.

So a little about myself.  I have been a practicing chiropractor in the Tacoma area since 1996.  I am a born native of the Pacific Northwest, and I currently live right here in Tacoma.  In the last 25 years, I have honed my chiropractic skills, and my style is similar to that of Dr. Richardson.  This was something Dr. Richardson and I discussed in detail before we even considered this transition.  I have a keen interest in multidisciplinary care.  So that means I enjoy providing care that involves not only chiropractic but also massage, rehab exercises, and nutrition.

In recent years I completed coursework to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP).  When you come to the clinic, you will find that I use this knowledge and experience to give you additional exercises, stretches, kinesiotaping, supports, insoles, and other treatments to augment your adjustments.  I believe in giving you the tools to take charge of your health, especially in your day-to-day activities beyond our clinic.  

I have broad experience treating patients with work or auto injuries.  I have been privileged to be in a study group headed by the University of Washington (COHE, Centers of Occupational Health Education) to analyze and promote “Best Practices” for treating injured workers under the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries.  This has enabled me to help people return to work in a more timely manner, while still ensuring each patient is truly ready to return. 

Most importantly, I have been a chiropractic patient myself since I was a child, and chiropractic has literally kept me going!  I have had a few neck and back injuries over the years and a couple of herniated discs in my neck.  So, I personally know the value that chiropractic provides!  I always get excited helping others with this amazing drug-free approach, called chiropractic!

Also, stay tuned for some exciting upgrades and modernization at the clinic, including new state-of-the-art digital x-ray, new treatment tables, and online scheduling.

All these academic things aside, service to my patients is in my heart!  I want each you to leave our clinic feeling better, and more empowered to live a healthy life.  My wife, Rebecca is a nurse, and also a licensed massage therapist, so healthcare is just how we roll!  Again, I very much look forward to meeting all of you, and to providing you with excellent chiropractic care here at Canyon Chiropractic!
